Each individual may contribute a maximum of $1,000 for the
primary election on May 13 and another $1,000 for the general
election on November 4.
Corporations and foreign nationals may not contribute.
The law requires campaigns to report the name, mailing
address, occupation and employer name of individuals whose
contributions exceed $200.
Political contributions are not deductible for income tax
purposes.
Volunteer
Greenbrier County is almost as large as the entire state
of Rhode Island. We have more than 2,000 miles of
State-maintained roads. Will you help me reach voters? I
hope the answers is:

- Ask people for permission to place yard signs on private
property
- Make telephone calls
- Drive voters to courthouse for early voting
- Drive voters to polling places on Election Day

Register to Vote!!
The last day to register to vote in May 13 primary is
Tuesday, April 22. Registration is free. You may register to
vote:
In the County Clerk’s office at the Greenbrier County
Courthouse, 200 North Court Street in Lewisburg. – after
you enter and go through the metal detector, turn left and
go all the way to the end of the building. The Clerk’s
telephone is 647 6626.
At the West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, in the
Weslakin Building on 219 South in Fairlea
By mail – download and print the voter registration
form from the West Virginia Secretary of State office.
(include hot link).
You may also register to vote at the Department of Health
and Human Resources in the Weslakin Building in Fairlea, at
agencies that serve citizens with disabilities, and at
military recruiting offices.

Are you unsure whether your voter registration is up to
date? Call the County Clerk’s office at 647 6626.
Vote!
The primary election date is May 13. On that date, you
may vote at your precinct polling location.
You may vote before May 13 at the Greenbrier County
Courthouse.
If you will be out of the County on Election Day, you may
vote by mail. Contact the Greenbrier county Clerk’s office
for details. 647-6626.

Absentee ballot - if you will be out of Greenbrier County, or homebound with
your doctor's name and telephone number, you may vote an absentee ballot.
Absentee ballot forms are available in the Greenbrier County Clerk's office or
on the West Virginia Secretary of State's web site, http://www.wvsos.com/elections/voters/absentee.htm
Applications for absentee ballot by mail must be received by the county clerk
between February 19 and May 7. Absentee ballots may be hand delivered to the
county clerk through May 12.
You may also vote by absentee ballot if the county absentee voting office and
the polling place where you are a registered voters are inaccessible to you.
You must state the reason for inaccessibility of polling place.
If you will be in a hospital or nursing home, you may have an absentee ballot
delivered to you. Contact the clerk's office for details
If you are incarcerated in a jail, detention center or prison, and you are
not under conviction for treason, bribery, or a felony, the Sheriff, Chief of Police,
or Authorized Deputy may complete a statement that will allow you to vote an
absentee ballot.
Submit your affirmation of Joan C. Browning for one of Greenbrier County's
members of the West Virginia House of Delegates.
