In my decades of professional and volunteer
experiences, I have found that sometimes
“there oughta be a law” and sometimes “legal considerations” get in the way of doing good.
I am running for the West Virginia House of Delegate to
make laws work better.
If elected, I will use all that I have learned in a lifetime of
getting results to focus legislation in improving conditions for
everyone in Greenbrier County, West Virginia
I will support
legislation that helps the organizations listed in “Hundreds
of Reasons to Vote for Joan C. Browning.”
I will bring deep knowledge and common sense to the issues on
which I have spent decades. I will focus especially on
- Passing laws to make our county safer for vulnerable people,
especially children, women, Seniors, and the disabled;
- Making health insurance affordable and available to the 245,999 West Virginians
without health insurance: the self employed and small businesses while decreasing the “cost
shifting” that is strangling our medical care system;
- Promoting adequate maintenance of Greenbrier County’s
roads and construction of the two-lane, greenway
with bike path bypass from I-64/219 down the west side of
Lewisburg to the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and schools
- Voting for sound fiscal and economic policies that do not burden
our grandchildren and that encourage the private sector to
create more and better paying jobs.
The people who are experts on any issue are those closest
to it. Above all, I pledge to consult with Greenbrier County voters
on proposed legislation.
